Everything Changes

I have changed a few things up here (just a heads up)
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions
(I was thinking of going to a Star Wars theme, but Sonic the Hedgehog does not appear in any of the Star Wars worlds, so... where do they both appear together? if i can find such a world, this blog will represent!)

Towel Day! (and some updates)

Towel Day is a day of remembrance of the Great and Awesome Douglas Adams.

"Douglas Adams, creator of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, stated in his tome, "Never go anywhere without your towel." On May 14, 2001, one of his fans, D. Clyde Williamson, posted a tribute to Mr. Adams including a proposal that a date two weeks after his passing should be observed as Towel Day. May 25th continues to be observed annually as Towel Day as an ongoing tribute to Adams, who passed away on May 11 of that year."

I want to conclude with some other announcements for your own edification. 


1. Sonic is being flown to an impressive job interview today, so I think everyone needs to wish her luck in this endeavour. I am sure it will be quite an adventure into the real world for her.


2. Yoda's endo- and colon- oscopy procedure went well. Apparently she looks normal on the inside. What a strange idea. However, since the food issues have continued, she has cut out all gluten, dairy, and soy. Be forewarned.


3. Elegí una mala semana para dejar de esnifar pegamento.
    (Its the Spanish phrase of the day. Darn, my good life choices!)

Music

Music is a soul-soother, it brings out the rock star in all of us, and it gives us all something to relate to, both when we're feeling gloomy and when we're upbeat (either through lyrics or melody). A Whole New World

Have you enjoyed going to a certain place for many many years in a row?

Have you considered this place your favorite place in the world at any time in your life?

Have you ever then stopped going to this place and then gone back after more than 5 years?

Have you then realized that you've only ever seen a small portion of the place?

I have.

It was slightly unsettling.

But the rest of the place was pretty.

For those who know the place:

and a saw (that was slightly disturbing)

A week of Adventures!

Much has happened in the last week and while you may know that we graduated and have both safely arrived home, there is still some details to fill in and some clarity to resolve.

First, we have decided that although we cannot be together in location, we have realized that despite graduating, we are still old enough to know better but too young to care. Thus, this blog will continue relaying our thoughts, our ideas and our adventures in the world. 

Second, the week went something like this:

So Long, Allegheny

Well, this is it folks, our last night in Meadville (until we come to visit!). After days of packing and last minute errands, saying good bye to friends, and sitting through a reading of over 500 names (twice!), Yoda and I have finally graduated!

We have somehow survived 1357 days of being students at Allegheny and tomorrow we start our new roles as alumni. Tomorrow we will conclude our series of lasts at Allegheny: the Last Wall, the last move-in day, the last first day of classes, the last Meadville winter, the last Spring Break, the last class, the last final, and, finally, the last day here.

I did a walk around campus tonight and tried to remember the first time I was in some of the buildings. For instance, the first time I was in Alden I was running around trying to get a professor's signature so I could add my first Computer Science class.

I ended my tour with a jog up Brooks Walk, in the rain. I thought it was fitting.

Camping!!

Please excuse the absence of Yoda, Sonic and Our Beloved Ewok Friend as they enjoy the beauty of camping. There will be a story of epic proportions to be told when they return, I am sure. Stay tuned!

Last Day of School! Last Day of School!

We survived!!!

Surprisingly, Sonic and Yoda thrived and survived four years of trying to accomplish our undergraduate degrees.
We will see in a week and a half if we manage to actually walk.

But we finally had our last day of classes.

School's out for Summer!
